When Monday's comedown of yesteryear becomes a Wednesday, Thursday or Friday of this year

I was going to write a post about my weekend. But it'd be pretty much the same post as you'd get to describe a hundred other such weekends. We're talking about a photocopy - picture after picture after picture of the same landscape. And as with all copies, the scene remains the same but the colors begin to fade.

As with the rat trapped down the well, I'm circling, circling, circling. With futilely pumping legs I'm treading that water with no hope of rescue. I'm damn tired.

Don. You, me, same.

I've been considering taking advantage of cheap flights and jetting off to other parts of Australia on long weekends, just for a change of scenery.

That seems pretty extreme, now that I think about it.

Actually, gbe, that sounds pretty awesome to me.

It (weekend trips to other parts of Australia) seems like a very good idea to me. But I imagine the feeling for you is heightened given that you've just got back from jet setting around the globe.

Oh well, Collin Firth... I mean John... will be here tomorrow - that should be good fun.

I've only visited five of Australia's states and the capital, so I've been thinking about weekend trips myself.

It isn't just the circular feeling of being trapped that sucks; it's the feeling of powerlessness to change things. Oh well, life marches on irrespective of whether one is happy with it or not.
