well well well... LOOKIT YOU!! i would say that it's nice to finally put a face to the words... i would say that it looked like a lovely day and that i am jealous... but what i really want to know is this: WHERE IS MY CASE OF PREFERABLY-A-SHIRAZ-CABERNET-BLEND-BUT-REALLY-ANYTHING-RED-WILL-DO? i'm going to go wait by the mailbox now. and it's cold here, so get a move on...

(p.s. get a grip... all that boo hoo i am a beast lead-up, honestly! i really don't know how one would express that teeth-kissing sound of attitude but my friends and i put it thusly: *-* !!!)

I've always been a bit of a Cab-Sav kind of guy myself, however, the winery that I went to won the 2005 Aussie Pinot of the year - it was delish. So, you send the wasabi fries and I send the Pinot.

As for your beast comments. From the fur on my face to the scar under my nose - I'm beast all the way. But it doesn't bother me too much. :)

Me thinks the caveman comments are really a bit of preening. "Oh look how beastly I am," moans DQ. To which girls reply, "But you're plenty good looking DQ, some would even say attractive."

Puh-leeze. I know an attractive individual when I see a picture of one on the Internet. This is ME we're talking about, nothing if not a good judge of shallow measures of beauty.

Ok, I'm in love... :)
May I bring Kerbear and we all do a winery tour with you and your mates?

Ker and I would be happy to bring something from Oklahoma as a gift for your kindness.....

I've been beaten to the punch again, so I'll sum up the picture deal with this - you're a doofus :P

I've never met a red wine I've liked. The past couple of years I've been partial to rieslings. Although I do feel like I'm missing out on something that everyone likes except me.

Somegirl, there is nothing I've read about you that would indicate shallowness.

On the preening thing - I do confess to making an attempt to keep my self-analysis realistic, but I daresay that if you saw me in real life you'd understand my dismay; I'm virtually under siege, daily, from the horrors of excess facial hair.

Circe, there is an even better winery area than the one featured in that photo (Mornington). It is called the Yarra Valley, and, as part of the tour, you can actually fly there in a hot air balloon - a great way to start the day if you ask me.

And, Estars, I think that, as with most things, it is a matter of persistence with red wine. You need to cringe your way through a few bottles in the early stages in order to truly gain a liking for it in the long run.

I'd recommend that you start off with some Merlot or Pinot. My personal favourite is Cab Sav, but that has a pretty dry kick to it.

Oh, it is Kerry. A winery tour on a sunny day is about as good as it gets! :)
